    3. William Aymar (b. ca 1790) married Keziah Warne (b. ca 1794 in Digby). Is there any relation to Charles R. Aymar (b. 18 Dec 1838) m. Elizabeth Comeau (b. 18 Aug 1832 or 1836) of Meteghan. I'd like to find who Charles parents are and perhaps connect this Aymar family to the others in the area. Thanks Paul

A cousin and I have been trying to find info on them as my great grandmother is Alexander and Lizzie's granddaughter. I have no info on them at all, except for what I found in the census records. Do you have a maiden name for Lizzie? My cousin Sharon lives in Nova Scotia and is trying to get records regarding their daughter Madeline and maybe see if it gives us any clues into their family. Would love to be able to share info with you. Will certainly pass on anything we can find regarding this family, if it is new to you. Thanks Tina

Are you talking about the "original" Stehelin sons which came and settled for a period of time at New France. John who married in St Bernard was Jean Jacques Stehelin and he married Catherine Thibodeau, know by the family as "Katie" on 24 Jul 1893 at St Bernard, Digby Co Nova Scotia. She was the daughter of Jovite Thibodeau and Marcelline Saulnier. They were married by Rev. Alphonse B. Parker and the witnesses were Isaac Thibodeau, Katie's brother and and Francoise Bourneuf, daughter of Philippe Bourneuf and Elizabeth Melanson of Grosses Coques, Digby Co., Nova Scotia. Emile Jean Stehelin married Anne Marie Baldwin known by the family as "Annie" 23 Nov 1895 in the chapel at the Eudist Seminary on Quinpool Road in Halifax, Halifax Co., Nova Scotia. Roger Stehelin married Marthe Marie Goudinet de Boschatel in France in Oct 1926. Maurice Stehelin "Mo" married Germaine Cheron at Gisors, Normandy France in 1919. Marie Bernard Stehelin ( Bernard) married Genevieve Appertthe 5 or 6th May 1919 at Aurillac, Anvergeue, France. Hope this is of some help... Regards Lloyd

In the family tree section there are entries for MARSHALLs (Frank H, George H, Mina F, Nora C, and John L) and ROOPs (Margaret, Christopher, John, Mary, Isaac, Susan, James and Relief). And entries for PORTERs (Joseph, Adelbert, John, Mary, William, Asa N, David A., Charlotte E, and Augusta)... Up until now I was unaware of any connection with either MARSHALL or ROOP. Are there any members of the Marshall and Roop family who possibly have a few Porters mixed into their line. I would be interested in pursuing the connection. Thanks.... gail metcalfe

My mother was a Porter, daughter of William Christopher and Sarah Ross---William was the son of Asa Porter and Melissa (Weaver, I think). I have the information put together by Elaine Deion which I found online, but nothing else. I would be willing to share further information on my family if you are interested. 3. To all -- I sincerely hope all are trying to transcribe one page or more every day -- I started work in the Eagle Head area and will have to go back to it --- some surnames looked like M~~~~~ Since then I have concentrated on well-known areas of Shelburne County -- I know the names -- and have finished several areas. One can find various parts of one's family when transcribing -- I found my grandparents and children in Port Mouton West, really Port Joli. Today I found my first school teacher, Vera Acker. YUKON, with a small population, has 100,00% finished. Lunenburg County in Nova Scotia -- 100.01% Others include:- Queens County, PEI - 88.67% Yarmouth County -- 95.29%; Digby County - 90.28%; Cape Breton South - 74.10%; Colchester County - 66.05%; Antigonish County - 62.30%; Guysborough County - 61.89%; North West Territories -- 60.98% Let's get the pages transcribed so the proofreaders can start work. Above all -- do NOT transcribe ONE or TWO lines, unless you are going to go back to it. Once you CLAIM PAGE it is difficult for others to finish what you have left. http://automatedgenealogy.com/census11/ Muriel M. Davidson muriel_davidson@sympatico.ca
