Surnames: Burton/Cook/McDonald Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/SOC.2ACE/1278.2.2 Message Board Post: I was in touch in the past with a great grandson of Tiimothy Burton who still lives on Sissaboo RD. That is the road that runs from Bear River to Weymouth, and on that road is South Range and Weymouth Mills. He named the children of Timothy and Emmaline MacDonald (of Yarmouth Co.) as: John, Lester, Charles, Roswell and Angelina. My children's great grandfather was Harding Cook who married Timothy's dau. Angelina Phebe. The 1881 census shows that living withTimothy was Emiline age 44, Charles 14, and William, 8. Is Wiilliam actually Roswell? I have a newspaper photo and obituary for Henry Burton, son of Roswell and Annie Thiebault. I found it odd that a Roswell Noble Burton, born NY abt. 1818, (son of a Roswell Burton, born abt. 1794 in RI) named some of his children: Charles, Lester and Roswell. There may be a connection. I think Charles, George and Robert McDonald who are in the 1871, 1881 census for Digby Co..may be relatives of Emmaline, as they used the same names a! s did children of Emmaline.

    3. Dear Luella, Thank you, I would very much like a look up. I'm so sorry I've taken so long to reply. That's very rude of me, but something unexpectedly came up, so I had to abandon everything else for awhile. Many thanks for your consideration. 2. I am looking for some assistance re-creating my Daley family. If there are others researching this family, I would really appreciate hearing from them. My gr-grandmother was Kate (Daley) Ross, mother of Sadie Etta Ross. This Kate Daley was the daughter of John Daley and Eliza Copeland--one of 9 children. John was (I think) the son of James M. Daley, born in Ireland. There seems to be some confusion in some sources that I've found, regarding the children born to James M. Daley, and I'm trying to figure it out. HELP!!!!! Tks... gail *********************************************************** If you can't be kind, atleast have the decency to be vague.
