To all researchers of Nova Scotian records:- Many across Canada, and from beyond Canada's borders are working very hard to obtain the release of the 1911 census records by 2003 -- the year it was supposed to be released. I am a native Nova Scotian -- my research is in these records, and am working very hard on behalf of many. Senator Lorna Milne has Bill S-12 almost ready for voting, but the ones in Ottawa need PROOF -- proof that we want the census released so we can get our family research done. The only PROOF "they" accept are signatures on petitions. http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/Petition.htm We need both House of Commons and Senate petitions. At present, all Nova Scotian Members of Parliament are supportive of census release, except one - Robert Thibault. You may write to him [email protected] The Hon. Senator Lorna Milne has Bill S-12, now in third reading, debate and voting -- it calls for automatic transfer of the census records to National Archives where one might check for family records. Murray Calder's Bill C-312 was declared non-votable by a committee -- he will have one hour of debate at the end of March. PETITIONS are requested and needed for both Senate and House of Commons -- the same person may sign both, either language. The name is Jenkins Amero, (possible nickname?) age 50 & Marie, age 40 here are their children: 1. Rosella: age 21 2. Margaret: age 18 3. John: age 14 4. William: age 13 5. Jane: age 10 6. Adelia: age 7 7. James: age 4 8. Francis: born Aug 1870 In the 1881 census another child: 9.
