My aunt, whom I last visited in May-June of 2009 with my mother, her sister. The lone survivor of this family is now my mother. Sister Wilma may have taught some of the list members in and around the Glace Bay area over her 42 year teaching career. Sister Wilma spent the first 90 years of her life on Cape Breton, before being placed in Parkstone Enhanced Care in Halifax, where she died. There were some errors & omissions to the original obit as it appeared in the paper. I corrected the age & placed the survival & predeceased below. June 4, 1917 - January 4, 2011 MCPHEE, Sister Mary Wilma (Ellen Theonista) - 93 yrs, died in Parkstone Enhanced Care on January 4, 2011. Born in Passchendaele, she was a daughter of the late John and Ada (Roach) McPhee. She entered the Sisters of Charity in Halifax in 1936 and made her Religious Profession in 1939. Sister Wilma taught school for 42 years in Reserve, New Waterford, Glace Bay and New Aberdeen. Prior to her retirement, she served as a church sacristan and a volunteer with the children with learning disabilities. She retired in 1982. She is survived by sister, Ruth MacLean, Calgary, Alta, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, William, Joseph, Henry and Arthur, sisters, Lillian Bonnar, Natalie Niles, Hilda Niles, Zita McDonough, Sarah McPhee and Mary Holland. The boday will be at Caritas Residence with visitation on Thursday, January 6, from 3-7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 am, in Immaculate Conception Chapel, Caritas Residence. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Survival & predeceased should read: Survived by one sister, Ruth Carmel (MacPhee) MacLean of Calgary, one sister-in-law, Georgene (Meisner) MacPhee of North Sydney; and by several nieces and nephews from coast to coast. She was predeceased by her sisters, Zita Aluias (MacPhee) MacDonough, Sarah Cecelia MacPhee, Hilda Irene (MacPhee) Miles and Mary Gertrude (MacPhee) Holland, in infancy, Mary Romeguis MacPhee, by brothers, Joseph Douglas MacPhee, Arthur Ignatius MacPhee Henry I. MacPhee, half brother, William A.
