Lee Born in: Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada Passed away in: Port Morien, Nova Scotia, Canada Passed away on: 13/09/2010 It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marion F. Lee at the Glace Bay Hospital after a brief illness on Sept. 13, 2010. Born in Sydney, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Allan and Elizabeth (Wadden) Pollett. She was married to James Lee, Jan. 23, 1940, and raised a family of six at Morien Station before moving into the Senior's Complex in Port Morien over 30 years ago. Once there, her love of gardening saw her take over the grounds which she tended with love, joy and lots of work until just a few years ago when her health wouldn't allow her to continue. The grounds were a summer showplace for years, that were admired by all who lived there or passed by. Aside from her love of flowers, Marion also loved her birds that visited her many feeders outside her window. Visiting her children that were spread out across Canada, also brought happiness to her life. Marion will be lovingly remembered by her children, Anne (Dwight), Bruce (Debbie) and Paul (Connie); her nieces, Lillian, Marguerite and Florence; her daughters-in-law, Kathlene Lee, Marilyn Lee, Wendy Lee and Janice Smith; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband, Jimmy, and sons, Michael, Jimmy and Duncan. Visitation Wednesday, 7-9 p.m. in Curry's Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Thursday, 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Rev. Leo Boone officiating. Donations in Marion's memory are suggested to the Cancer Society or charity of choice.
