Born in Baddeck he was the son of Benjamin and the late Elizabeth (Pierro) Peck. He was the husband of the late Cheryl Peck. Surviving are his son, Cameron Battiste, Eskasoni; sisters, Sandra and Jane; brothers, Leonard, Abraham, Eugene, Anthony, Roger, Benjamin (Martha), Calvin and Lester (Ann). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, all of Wagmatcook. He was predeceased by sister, Martha and brother Cyril, his twin daughters, at birth, Angelina and Angelica, godchildren, Cyndi Joy Peck and Elizabeth Anne Peck, niece, Vanessa, nephews, Joshua, Cyrus and Nilan. Gregory was employed by the Wagmatcook band council. He loved to fish, play bingo and cards. He also enjoyed wearing his cowboy hats. Visitation for Gregory will begin at 3 p.m, Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Blessed Kateri Tekawitha Centre. The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at the Blessed Kateri Tekawitha Church with Fr. Robert MacNeil officiating. Burial will be at the Queen of the World Cemetery. Craig passed away on Friday, June 24, at the Glace Bay Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Waddens Cove, Craig was the son of the late Willie and Minnie (Wadden) Boutilier and was a member of Christ Church, South Head. Although born with a hearing disability, Craig was a fisherman in his younger years and later worked for the H. H. Hopkins Fish Plant for many years until his retirement. He loved his extended family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially the Christmas Eve celebrations he shared with them every year at his home. During his retirement Craig enjoyed bingo, gardening, bird watching and playing with his dog 'Scrappy'. Craig is survived by one brother Gary (Gail) Boutilier, Waddens Cove; sister-in-law Janice Boutilier, Waddens Cove; brother-in-law Sidney MacPherson, Glace Bay; several loving nieces and nephews who were very dear to him especially Susan (Bernie) MacDonald and Stewart (Rhonda) MacPherson who were his longtime companions. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Frank Boutilier, Waddens Cove; sisters Genevieve MacPherson, Glace Bay and Rhea in infancy. In honoring Craig's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. The funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at 4 p.m. in Christ Church, South Head, with Rev. Vernon Reid officiating, interment will follow in the church's cemetery. Following the committal service, all are invited to join the family for a reception at the home of Bernard and Susan MacDonald. Family flowers only. God called home our gentle but strong mother June 24, 2011 while surrounded by her loving family at the Glace Bay General Hospital. Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Laughlin and Gloria (Moffat) McLean, she was a dedicated mother and grandmother to her family and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Glace Bay. Anne was a very outspoken and witty gal, always trying to make others laugh. She enjoyed her evening outings with her friends dancing at the Glace Bay Legion, spending time with her best friend and sister Tissa, Anne also enjoyed the time spent with her devoted companion Charlie Tavern. She was a very active person with the Glace Bay Little League Ladies Aux. for many years and always enjoyed going to her children's baseball games She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Wanda (Calvin) McNeil, Glace Bay, Ida (Joe) O'Reilly, Westmount; sons George (Lori), Davey, Roddy 'Tub', all of Red Deer, Craig (Angela), Glace Bay; and their father George Stubbard. MacNeil, age 75, a resident of Youngsville, North Carolina, on Monday, June 20, 2011 at his home after a long battle with cancer. Gerald was born on May 2, 1936 in Glace Bay, the son of the late Malcolm and Mabel (Steed) MacNeil. He moved to the United States in 1962 and finally settled in York Harbour, Maine in 1971 with his family, making it home for 38 years before moving to North Carolina four years ago. Gerald was a master plumber by trade. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus since 1960, a past Grand Knight of the Millis, Massachusetts Council, active in the Maine Council and a current member with the Youngsville, N.C. Council. He was an active member in his church, St. Christopher in York Harbour, Maine. He participated in mission work with the church youth groups, sang in the choir and volunteered his time and services wherever needed. Gerald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Jeanette (O'Quinn) MacNeil, two children, his son, Malcolm (Charlene) MacNeil of Louisburg, N.C.; his daughter, Denise (David Poboisk) MacNeil of Bend, Oregon; seven grandchildren, Melessa Amaya, Heather Hopkins, Malcolm MacNeil, Amy Furrow, Dax, Jade and Drake Poboisk and four great-grandchildren, Aiden Lambert, Benjamin and Lucus Amaya and Elias Pollovina; his two sisters, Shirley (MacNeil) Irwin of Toronto, Ont. and Carol Ann (MacNeil) (Donnie) Power, North Sydney. Born in Sydney Mines, he was a son of the late George and Alma (Cantwell) Ferguson. Bill will be fondly remembered for his wonderful sense of humour which he maintained until the very end. He was a very loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather and brother. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.
