She was just two days shy of her 75th birthday. Born in Glace Bay, she was the eldest child and only daughter of the late Jean Campbell McArel Ogilvie and John Samuel Ogilvie (Sr). She lived most of her adult life in Dartmouth, and is survived by two loving brothers, Henry McArel Sinclair Ogilvie, Glace Bay and John Samuel Ogilvie (Jr), Dartmouth; and her only daughter, Amber Jean, Dartmouth, who was the apple of her mother's eye. Eileen started her administrative career at Imperial Oil, and later became a secretary in the Dartmouth school system, where she worked for over 25 years. Later, she became a sales rep for Mary Kay and sang with the Citadel Chimes choir. Wherever she went she charmed people with her vivacious personality, dry wit and ready smile and made wonderful friends she would keep for life. We fondly remember Eileen as a proud and loving woman. She was an amazing cook, an award-winning amateur artist, and an avid shopper. Elegant and refined, she always had perfectly polished nails and red lipstick - but was never too much a lady to enjoy a saucy joke and her belly laugh was unbridled and infectious. We would like to extend our thanks to the nursing staff at Melville Gardens, who made sure Eileen's last years were comfortable. We invite all who knew and loved Eileen to join us for a celebration of her life, to be held at A. L.
