Eric Morrison Mary Morrison Rebecca 'Becky' Tighe Sheilah MacDonald Ramona Fahey (Tighe) Kenneth MacKay Sr. Thomas Smith Bernetta 'Bernie' MacInnis Joseph LeBlanc Mary Elizabeth 'Beth' Smith ******************************************************************************************************* Eric Morrison Born in: Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada Born on: 03/04/1989 Passed away in: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada Passed away on: 02/02/2011 It is with deepest sadness and regret that we must announce the death of Eric Allister Morrison. He passed away in his Dartmouth home on Feb. 2, 2011. Eric is survived by his loving parents, Fran and Bill; two older sisters, Jennifer (Michael Stainton) and Diane Morrison. He will always be remembered as a kind hearted boy who was able to get into some harmless mischief with his many friends. He was a special man with a wonderful outlook on the world and was always willing to help anyone in need. Eric's one true love was hockey. He played hockey for most of his life, including his last days with his very best friend, Sean Edwards. It takes a special kind of person to stand in a goalie net with pucks flying at you and to stand in the way of them to protect his net - this is the same approach he had with his family and friends. He had a gentle soul that gave him a special way with animals. A service will be held at Mattatall Funeral Home in Dartmouth, cremation to follow. Donations can be made in honour of Eric to suicide prevention or the charity of your choice. ********************************* . Mary Morrison Born in: Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada Passed away in: Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada Passed away on: 04/02/2011 We the family of Mary Martha Morrison announce the passing of our dear mother on Friday, February 4, 2011, at the age of 94, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Sydney, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Rosie (Rufka) Libbus and Joseph Haddad. Mom was the matriarch of our family. She cared and loved all of us and many others unconditionally. Her life was filled with hard work and many challenges but she always found time to have fun. In her earlier days, she raced stock cars, winning the Powder Puff Derby, drove motor cycles, and Model T cars. Her Lebanese culture was a foundation for her beliefs, goodwill, and ultimately her cooking. To her grandchildren, she will always be 'Sittie'. For many years she was a member of the Daughters of Mary, St. Joseph's Syrian and Lebanese Benevolent Society. The door was always open and people were welcomed with a hot cup of boiled tea and lunch. Her grandchildren loved her special French fries. For many years she served people a smile and kind words at Kay's Kozy Korner. To her, family came first. She was a role model, and influenced each of us in our lives. We will miss her dearly. She is survived by sons Harry (Theresa), Donnie (Mary), Kevin, Adrian (Kathy), and Patricia. She was the proud Grandmother of Andrea, Dionne, D.J., Jarod, Jodi and Mother Stacy, Alexandra and Mother Doreen, Jason M., Tosha (Sandra), Jason I., Faye, Zack and Great Granddaughters Olivia, Gabrielle and Lenaya. Also special friends Ruth, Jane, Rena, Linda and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband Alexander T. Morrison, son Joseph T. Morrison, and siblings, Martha, Selena, Maggie and Simon.
