Allan Dugas ******************************************************************************************************* Mora Walton Born in: Port Morien, Nova Scotia, Canada Passed away in: Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada Passed away on: 28/11/2010 Mora Walton, 72 of Glace Bay and formerly of Donkin, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010 at the Glace Bay Hospital, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Port Morien, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Phyllis (Robinson) Wadden. She was a member of St. Luke's United Church in Donkin. Mora dearly cherished her family which included, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Mom was a kind and generous person who always put others and their needs before her own. Mom will be sadly missed by daughters, Wendy (Tupper) Chaput, Donkin, Wanda (Tommy) Russell, Donkin, Delores (Tommie) McCormick, Glace Bay, Debra (Allan) Ryan, Glace Bay; sons, Sheldon (Gail), Alberta, Kevin (Dayle), Donkin, Ricky (Susan) Glace Bay. Nana will also be always loved and sadly missed by her 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Phyllis (Joe Marsh), Dolores (the late Dan MacLeod), Joyce (the late Ran Daley), Muriel (Ronnie Walsh), Alma (Cameron MacPherson) and brothers, Gordon 'Buddy' (Valerie) Wadden, Wayne (Arlene) Wadden. Besides her parents, Mora was predeceased by her husband, Richard in 1973. At her request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Patten Funeral home. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010 at 2 p.m. at St. Luke's United church, Donkin, with Rev. Chris Matheson officiating. Interment will follow in St. Luke's United Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Renal Dialysis Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.pattenfuneral.com. At this time the family would like to thank the staff at the renal dialysis unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and the third floor nursing staff at the Glace Bay Hospital for their wonderful care and kindness during this difficult time. James St. Sydney, on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Palliative Care unit. Born in Marriott's Cove, N.S., he was the son of the late Blanche Smith. He worked for many years for L.E. Shaw Ltd. as superintendent of the Dartmouth Block Plant and later retired as superintendent of the Sydney Plant. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Charlene (Joseph) Stevens; daughter, Cathy (Bruce) Philips, Fredericton, N.B., Crystal (Mike) Meade, Summerside, P.E.I.; stepdaughters, Marie Hawco (George), Sydney and Carol Hawco (Blair), Yukon. He is also survived by grandchildren, Brianna, Nicholas, Grace, Virginia, Isaac and Jacob, sisters; Hilda (Calvin) Hiltz, Martins River, N.S., Doris Hines, Lawrencetown, Halifax County; brother, John (Shirley) Stevens, Marriott's Cove, N.S. and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. Besides his mother, Larry was also predeceased by his sister, Florence Munroe, Gloucester, Mass.; grandparents, Freeman and Rita Stevens, Marriott's Cove, N.S. Visitation for Larry will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today (Tuesday), Nov. 30, 2010 at S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at the funeral home chapel, with Mr. Kirk Neville officiating. A reception will follow the service. Interment to take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. Donations may be made to the Cape Breton Palliative Care or a charity of one's choice.
