The 1861 census covers all fourteen polling districts of Cape Breton County, which were, in 1861, Sydney, Ball's Bridge, Mira Ferry, Sydney Mines, Main-a-Dieu, Louisbourg, Gabarus, East Bay, Beaver Cove, Howley's Ferry, Lingan Mines, Cow Bay, Big Pond, and Christmas Island. If you are already a registered member of my site, you will be able to view the information immediately. New users will have to complete the free registration process.
