Born in Poulamon, Richmond Co., he was a son of the late Docity and Mary Jane (Landry) Landry. Jerry retired from Sydney Steel, where he worked in the Rod/Bar Mill. For a number of years, he was the custodian at the South Bar Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are his wife, Marjorie (MacPhail); sons, Jerry (Diane) and Dave (Sandra), South Bar; sister, Theresa Luessen, New Jersey; grandchildren, Darryl, Dana and Danielle; and eight great-grandchildren. Jerry was predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters. There will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Church on Monday 11 a.m., with Rev. Errol MacDonald officiating. Interment in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Born in North Side East Bay, she was the daughter of the late Angus and Catherine (Gillis) MacKinnon. Elizabeth Ann was devoted to her faith and St. Joseph's Church, Reserve Mines. She was also a former member of the C.W.L. and will be remembered for her compassionate and quiet nature. Elizabeth Ann is survived by three nieces, Catherine MacDonald with whom she resided, Mary (Luc) Belanger, Ottawa, Shirley (Ken) Stephens, Victoria, B.C.; two nephews, Charles, Joseph, both in North Side East Bay and several grand and great-grandnieces and nephews. Elizabeth Ann was predeceased by her husband, Angus Currie in 1994; a sister, Margaret MacDonald and a brother, Joseph Lawrence MacKinnon. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. The funeral mass, officiated by Rev. Daniel Boudreau is Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Reserve Mines followed by interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. She was the loving mother of daughter, Shannon; sons, Tim and Nigel and the father of her children, Tim Gurney. She was also the proud grandmother of, Rykler, Sienna, Tabitha, Brianna and Madison. She is also survived by her loving father, Danny O'Leary; brothers, Fred, Steve, Tom and Shawn; sisters, Mary Jane, Kathy, Patty, Donna, Valerie and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Arrangements for a memorial service to be announced at a later date. **************************************************** Kevin MacLeod Passed away in: Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada Passed away on: 30/11/2010 It is with saddened hearts that we, the family of Kevin MacLeod, announce the passing of a dear husband, father, son and brother on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 at the Glace Bay Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was employed at one time with the General Instruments Plant, Sydney & Gillis's Market in Glace Bay. Later on he worked for the DEVCO coal division until its closing. Fishing became part of his life; a job he truly enjoyed. He loved to hunt, 4-wheel or just spend time in the back yard with family and his two dogs, Sparky & Daisey. Spending time with his wife Wendy and family were important, whether it be going to the woods with son Jeff or taking Wendy to a baseball field or hockey rink to watch Ainslie perform. He is survived by Wendy; a son, Jeff (Melenda) and daughter, Ainslie (Matthew). His mother, Elsie (Allie) Neary and a brother, Doug. Also nephews, Kenneth and Darrell and a niece, Sarah He was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Shiel. Elaine has been a resident of the Lakes of Melbourne for 20 years. Elaine was the daughter of the late Neil and Virginia Jamieson. She was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on March 11, 1924. In 1959, along with her family, she moved to the United States. Elaine is survived by her husband of 65 years, Frank; son, Neil (Linda); daughter, Anne (Clifton) and brother, Joey (Velda). She was predeceased by daughters, Karen and Patricia; sister, Lily and brother-in-law Joe Phalen. Elaine was a loving wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by her son-in-law, Bobby and many grand and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by the many friends she made during her lifetime.
