Bridget 'Bea' McMaster Daley Patrick Cadegan Jason Bishop Gay Lewis Norman Francis Donald Campbell ******************************************************************************************************* Bridget 'Bea' McMaster Daley Born in: Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada Passed away in: New Waterford, Nova Scotia, Canada Passed away on: 10/12/2010 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Bridget 'Bea' McMaster Daley, 100, of Seaview Manor, formerly of Heelan Street, New Waterford, on Dec. 10, 2010 at the manor. Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Dan and Christina (McLellan) McEachern. She was a member of the former St. Agnes Parish, now the Parish Church of St. Leonard, the C.W.L., New Waterford Pensioners' Club, and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 15, New Waterford. In earlier years, Bea was a housekeeper at various homes in town. She was family oriented and raised 12 children whom she loved dearly. A woman of great humour, she loved to cook and bake and would always have a feed on at her home when family and friends would arrive. Her specialty was blueberry pies. Bea also enjoyed playing darts and 45s and was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan. She is survived by eight daughters, Christina Bonar, Ont., Loretta McMaster, Rachael (John) Storey, both of Hamilton, Ont., Emeline (Alexander) MacDonald, Alymer, Ont., Gertrude (Jim) Rigby, River Ryan, Marilyn (Whitney) LeDrew, Sydney, Esther McMaster, Sheila McMaster, both of New Waterford; one son, Danny (Vicki), Ont; one brother, Peter McEachern, Ont.; several grand, great, and great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews; special friends, Mary MacIntyre and Harold Morrison. Bea was predeceased by her first husband, John McMaster; second husband, Vincent Daley; two daughters, Cassie and Theresa McMaster; three sons, Peter Cyril 'Pepi', John, Carl; four brothers, Alex, John Allan 'Allie', Danny, Joe; three sisters, Cecilia Russell, Josephine MacKinnon and Florence 'Flo' Chisholm. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. A funeral mass of celebration will take place Monday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. in the Parish Church of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue, with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Burial will be in St. Agnes cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Army, Navy, Airforce, Unit 217, New Waterford. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Born in Glace Bay he was an avid fisherman and hunter in his younger years. Pat is survived by his wife, Kathleen 'Kay' Cadegan; stepson, Michael (Gloria) Kehoe and special grandchildren, Tristen and Destiny Kehoe. He will also be very sadly missed by his cousin whom he thought of as a son, David Tucker. Pat was predeceased by his best friend and aunt, Hazel Winters. He had many good friends and was well known in both Glace Bay and Grand Mira North. At his request there will be no visitation. Born in Sydney Mines on June 25, 1979, he was the son of Ernest Bishop and the late Beverly Reilly. He was a member of Immaculate Conception parish, Sydney Mines. Jason was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He loved taking his nephews fishing. He was employed with the Laborers Union of Alberta. Jason had many great friends; too many to mention. He was the type of person who made friends wherever he went. Jason was a very special person. He was very close to special cousins Rodderick Jerrett and Holly Bishop. He is survived by his father Ernest Bishop (Nicole Pero); sister Renee (Tim) Smith; sister Jessica Bishop; brothers Michael MacLean and Matthew Bishop; grandmother Lillian Bishop; special aunt Pamela (Patty) Hall; many special aunts and uncles including his special uncle Blair Bishop (Valerie Hodder). He is also survived by very special nephews Chandler Smith, Jaden Roland, Mitchell Roland and Jacob Bishop, and a very special niece who he called his special 'Boo', Hayley Roland. Jason was predeceased by his mother Beverly Reilly; grandmother Ann Reilly and grandfathers Alphonse Reilly and Albert Bishop. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Donnie was born in Sydney to the late Peter and Jessie (Kennedy). He graduated from St. F.X.U. and Dalhousie University with a degree in pharmacy. His education was interrupted during the Second World War, when he served as a navigator in the air force. He began his career in pharmacy at McKenna's Drug Store, Antigonish and in 1959 moved his family to Port Hawkesbury to open the first pharmacy in the community. His parents passed away before he reached the age of 13. His determination led him to overcome many obstacles to create a life for his wife and children. In a quiet and unassuming way he served the community of Port Hawkesbury and the surrounding area with care and compassion. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regional Occupational Centre Society (ROC) Centre, Port Hawkesbury.
