She will be sadly missed by daughters Marg (Willie) Boutilier, Gardiner Mines, Ann Arnold, Josie (Ron) Lightfoot, Rose (Ed) Leppert, sons Blaise and Eugene, sister Elizabeth (Hank) Janssen all of Ontario. Also many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and by close friends Martha Penney and Margaret Moseychuck. Besides her parents Alex and Annie LeBlanc she was predeceased by her husband Michael (Fellas) McPherson, sons Eli and Londo and son-in-law Joe Arnold, brothers Joe, Calixte and Charlie LeBlanc, sisters Esther Hannon and Nellie Rose Penney. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2011 at St. Eugene's Church in Dominion with Father Boudreau officiating. Internment will follow at St. Eugene's Cemetery. A lifetime resident of Florence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (King) Arsenault. She was a member of St. Stephen's parish, Florence. Left to mourn her passing is her only sister, Elizabeth Snow; her nephew, Joe (Loretta) Reashor; her niece, Bernice (Melvin) Pero; her nephew, Cecil Snow; as well as many more family members. She will be dearly missed by her good friends, Millie Erickson, Wena Stubbert and Heather Ford, who visited Mammie on a regular basis. They will miss their long visits, sharing of stories and catching up on what is going on in the neighbourhood. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Leo and sisters, Theresa and Genevieve. Mammie was known for telling stories, her belly laugh and her heart of gold. She loved having children around and always opened her home to anyone at any time. She loved having visitors so she could sit around and talk with them. "You will live in our hearts forever" ******************************** Roddie MacDougall Born In: Whitney Pier, Nova Scotia, Canada Passed Away In: Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada Passed Away On: 18/07/2011 With heavy hearts we announce the death of Roddie MacDougall, 120 Windsor St. Sydney, who passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. He was a member of St. Anthony Daniel parish. Roddie was born on James St. Whitney Pier, and was one of eleven children of the late Hughie and Margaret (MacNeil) MacDougall. He was educated at Holy Redeemer School and Sydney Academy. After high school, he was employed at C.P. Moore Ltd. and he joined Cape Breton Battery in the automotive parts business. Rod was always an avid sports fan. In his earlier years he was active in baseball, bowling, and was a member of the Sydney Curling Club and the Lingan Golf Club. At the age of 58 'Roddie CB' was able to retire as co-owner of C.B. Battery and follow his true passion - golf! He was proud to announce that he played 110 games of golf in 2010, the majority of which he walked. He will be fondly missed by his golf buddies. He is survived by his brother Sam (Lorna) MacDougall; sisters Mary Kenney, Alma (Les) Turcotte, Sr. Olga (CSM); sisters-in-law Anne MacDougall, Pat MacDougall and brother-in-law Redmond D. MacLean. He was predeceased by his brothers, Stanley, John, James, Frances and two sisters Carmella McDonald and Aeo MacLean. He was also predeceased by two nieces Mary Ellen Kenney and Paula MacKinnon. Roddie was an uncle to 23 nieces and nephews. He enjoyed to tease us and never hesitated to give his opinion on things. The majority of them now live outside of Nova Scotia. Those of which remain in Nova Scotia include Bryan MacDougall, Lorne MacDougall, Evelyn MacDougall, Jo Anne Addicott, Bobby Kenney, Carol Murphy, Janice McDonald and Debbie Madore. Born May 8, 1931 in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, she is the daughter of the late Murdock and Catherine (MacNeil) MacKenzie. Cecilia moved from Glace Bay to Kentville and lived there for 18 years. Cecelia's most important treasure was her family. She is survived by her son, Todd (Cherri) Brown, Lower Sackville; daughters, Alisa Welner, Kentville, Paula Kelly, Kentville and Sherrie (Brian) Stoodley, Lantz and six grandchildren, Whitney, Bethaney, Kaitlin, Josh, Noah and Mya. Born in Florence, Charlie was the son of the late Charles and Sarah (Nugent) Dawe. He was a bricklayer by trade, and was an avid sports fan. He was especially fond of horse racing and baseball. Charlie was predeceased by his companion of over 40 years, Shirley Gracie. He is survived by his family, Glenn (Emily), Keith (Adele), Terry, Donna (Brian), Cameron (Linda), Dean, who held a special place in his heart (Roxanne), and Hughena. Charlie is also survived by a sister Theresa Cantwell, Florence. He will be thoroughly missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his many friends, especially Gibby and Ian. Born in Montreal, he was the son of the late Jean & Gisele Trudeau (Bellerose). He was predeceased by a younger brother, Richard, at birth and by his precious daughter, Laura at the age of two and a half. He was a strong, loving and loyal man who wouldn't hurt a soul. He served in the Canadian Navy for 25 years and held several jobs since in retirement in 1996. He was stationed in Halifax where he met his wife of 20 years, Barbara. He will be forever loved & missed by his wife, Barbara (Jessome) and his adorable 11 year old daughter, Jillian who still asks daily "Daddy coming home?" Mike was a gentle man who loved being with his family and friends. Life was just simple for Mike, you just do what's right and love those around you, and he did that so well. He's left a large hole in our hearts.
