    3. Hi Barb: I'm Also interested in the GIBBS/KENNEDY connection as Abraham GIBBS is my fourth great grandfather. My grandmother was a LeVatte from Louisbourg. Are you the same Barb Campbell with the bluenoser email. I have some information on the KENNEDY's from Louisbourg, there appears to be two actual sections to Louisbourg (reference "Into the Fog by Sawler). If you are bluenoser contact me direct, you have my email. 3. Rusty and Don, I too have James Gibbs and Ann (LNU) as my ancestors. Where did you get the birth date of 20 March 1768 for James? I guestimated his birth date as ~1764 based on the census of 1818 where it stated that he was 'age 54, living on island 15 years, Country of birth- west of England, with 5 children'. In searching just now, I found on the LDS IGI website Abraham and Christian Gibbs along with their 10 children and also some of the Stacey family. Is this where you found your info? Any help with the town or parish in England of James birth would be greatly appreciated. 3. Fred: Don't see any link in these, but if we can establish a link, my history does back to Robert "Deacon" Marshall, b: about 1741, Scotland. Then the Marshall's go to Nova Scotia (Pictou County). Other genealogy is with the RUSSELL's, back to 1663 Chirnside, Scotland, then to Pictou County, Nova Scotia. On the Southshore of Nova Scotia, it goes back to all the founding families of Lunenburg. When you get into the genealogy, let me know, hopefully we can come up with a link along the way. Have a few relatives from Newfoundland also. 1. [Cape Breton Co NS] Alexander MacAulay and Mary MacDonald
    2. Bob McVicar
    3. I am interested in learning more about the family of Alexander MacAulay (1843 - 1918) and Mary MacDonald (c1845 - 1 July 1909). Alexander was the son of Donald MacAulay and Annie MacDonald and was born in Milton (later known as Broughton), Cape Breton. Both he and his wife died in Port Morien. They had several children, one of whom (Sarah Ann) was brought up by my gr gr grandfather's half brother, Roderick MacVicar, and his wife Margaret MacDonald. Margaret may have been Sarah Ann's aunt. Sarah Ann was born on 4 June 1879 and died on 25 March 1936. She was married to Daniel Norman MacDonald (1873-1946) and is buried with her husband and Roderick MacVicar and Margaret MacDonald in Greenwood Cemetery, Glace Bay. Bob McVicar
