Chronicle Herald May 12, 2007 MacDONALD, Colin Anthony - 78, Melong Road, Havre Boucher, formerly of Heatherton, loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, passed away peacefully in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish, on May 10, 2007, after a short but courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Black Avon, he was a son of the late Josie and Cassie MacDonald. He was an electrician, having worked for Nova Scotia Power for over 25 years. He loved gardening and took great pride in landscaping. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sadie (Delorey); sons, Joe, Andy (Mary), both of Black Avon; daughters, Delores (Jim), Hamilton, Ont.; Elaine (Walter Brow), Havre Boucher; Nellie, East Tracadie; Adele (Dwain O'Brien) and Stephanie (Conrad DeGruchy), Havre Boucher; grandchildren, Sarah, Tony, Christine, Julia, Colin, Andy, Beth, Sam, Cassie, Abigail, Avery, and Jakob; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Broghan, Shamus, Isabella, and Cora; brothers, William (Pearl), Pomquet; Steve Oakley, Ontario, and sister, Mary (Francis Rossong), Antigonish. He was predeceased by brother, Alexander; sister, Pricilla, and two brothers and one sister in infancy. Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish, on Sunday from 2-4 and 6:30-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton, with Rev. Daniel MacDonald presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
