Chronicle Herald May 24, 2007 DeCOSTE, Almira Jane "Ella" - 95, Thornhill, Ont., formerly of Mattie Settlement, Antigonish Co., died peacefully on May 22, 2007, in Thornhill. Born in Tracadie, she was a daughter of the late Hubert and Mary Ellen (Gerrior) Myette. Ella was a stay-at-home mom who loved to be in the kitchen baking pies and cooking. She was very proud of her family. She is survived by sons, Hughie (Patricia), Tracadie; Tony (Mimi), New Glasgow; daughters, Linda and Judi (Dave) Morley, both of Thornhill, Ont.; Shirley (Laverne) Thompson, Toronto; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Dennis; son, Raymond; sisters, Sarah, Martha, Gertie, Mary and Katherine; brothers, Jimmy, Gregor, Gene, Dan, Clarence, Lavin, Eubie and Billy. Visitation will be in St. Peter's Place, Tracadie from 7-9 p.m. on Friday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Sunday at 2 p.m. in St. Peter's Church, Tracadie, Rev. John Barry presiding. Burial in St. Peter's Cemetery.
