The Casket, Wednesday, August 18, 2004 Raymond Howard FOUGERE [photo] Funeral services for the late Raymond Howard FOUGERE, 83, Cape Jack, Antigonish County, were held August 15 in St. Paul’s Church, Havre Boucher, with Father Angus MacGillivary officiating, assisted by Father Bill CRISPO. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mr. FOUGERE died August 13, 2004, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Readers at the funeral Mass were Michelle MELONG and Denise ANDERSON. Katelyn FOUGERE, Lindsey McLAREN and Brett FOUGERE presented the offertory gifts. Music was provided by St. Paul’s Parish Choir, Jennifer FOUGERE and Andrea FOUGERE. Pallbearers were Barry FOUGERE, Jonathon FOUGERE, Brian FOUGERE, Shawn FOUGERE, Darren FOUGERE and Neil FOUGERE. Born in Cape Jack, he was a son of the late John and Mary (CRISPO) FOUGERE. He was a farmer and fisherman for most of his life and worked with the Department of Highways for 28 years. He is survived by his wife, Catherine (BENOIT); eight sons, Douglas (Andrea), Creignish; Donnie (Caroline), North Grant; Carl (Helen), Havre Boucher; Gerard (Theresa), Fort McMurray; Stephen (Daisy), Brooks, Alberta; Charles (Susan), Edmonton; Sherman (Jennifer), Calgary; Michael (Denise), Cape Jack; daughter, Marion (Steve) McLAREN, Antigonish; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Teresa (Kenneth) FOUGERE, Havre Boucher; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by granddaughter, Kimberley Dawn; four brothers, Willard, Gerald, James and one in infancy; four sisters, Eleanor, Beatrice, Carrie, Martha "Dolly".
