Stephen White notes the marriage of Benoni Leblanc and Emilie Chiasson at Cheticamp on Jan. 26, 1835 (search benoni leblanc family pitre bourg). Felix was of course born on 23 Nov. 1843, giving us a possible fit. Is it possible that the Melanie listed as Felix's mother at his wedding could actually be Emilie? I think it perhaps unlike ly that in the late 1830's in the area of Cheticamp a Benoni Leblanc married a Melanie Chiasson, and a different Benoni Leblanc married an Emilie Chiasson. What do you think?
