    1. MacGregor, Donald 1892 Death Certificate Sought Plus the Legal Requirements Besides Money to Secure It

    3. The disparity in death certificate fees is mind-boggling! Wouldn't you think that those with authority to assign a $32.50 Nova Scotia price versus a $7.00 New Brunswick price would be abashed, at least? I wonder if I can get an 1892 death certificate for my great-grandfather for that price, or would they demand that I have permission, incredibly, from my deceased great-grandfather to get his death certificate? My great-grandfather was Baptist Deacon Donald MacGregor who died 3 April 1892 in South River Lake, Antigonish Co., Nova Scotia. Can anyone advise me here on what the legal requirements would be for me to get a deceased ancestor's death certificate? Your advice will be greatly appreciated. I am hoping against hope that the certificate might list my great-grandfather's parents' names on the death certificate, or at least something besides the date and place. I hope it's more simple than I thought!
