Chronicle Herald September 17, 2007 DELOREY, Vincent Warren - 68, Afton, Antigonish Co., died suddenly at home on Friday, September 14, 2007. Born in Tracadie, he was a son of the late Vincent and Charlotte (DeCoste) Delorey. Vince was a graduate of St. F.X. University. He enlisted in the R.C.A.F. in 1958 and was assigned to the ROTP. He worked in the regional rail division of CNR for 30 years, retiring in 1999. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and gardening. He also had a keen interest in politics. He was a special uncle to his nieces and nephews whom he adored. He is survived by his wife, Anita Diane (MacDonald); stepchildren, Sandy (Gordon) Illot and Cheryl (Ray) Illot, both of Vancouver; Joanna Seigo, Victoria, B.C.; sisters, Nan (Wayne) Rock, Mahone Bay; Patsy (Norman) Neville, Stoney Creek, Ont.; Christine (Gary) Hesson, Barrie, Ont.; brothers, George (Iris), Milton, Ont.; Frank (Laura), Dartmouth; Herbie (Pauline), Tracadie; Bill (Virginia), Lake Echo; sister-in-law, Louise (Ernie) Crawford, Stewiacke. He was predeceased by sister, Alice Delorey; niece, Monique Partridge. Visitation in St. Peter's Place, Tracadie, today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held in St. Peter's Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m., Rev. John Barry presiding, assisted by Rev. Patrick O'Neil. Burial in the parish cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to St. Peter's Cemetery Fund.
