Chronicle Herald September 14, 2007 BROUSSARD, Francis Peter - 97, Antigonish, passed away on September 13, 2007, in R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home. Born in Pomquet on April 6, 1910, he was a son of the late Michael and Amelia (DeWolfe) Broussard. Francis worked in construction for most of his life. He was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures life had to offer. He could often be found playing his fiddle or spoiling his grandchildren. His kind heart and lively music will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his sons, Kevin (Jeannie), North Grant; Joe (Mary), Maryvale; daughters, Anne Doiron, Fall River; Betty Robichaud, Newcastle, Ont.; Mary (Raymond) Salsman, Country Harbour; 18 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Esther (Doiron); sisters, Angie and Anna; brothers, Aloysius, Louis, Joseph, Leo; sons-in-law, Arthur Robichaud and Bernard Doiron. Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish, on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held in Ste. Croix Church on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. P.J. Baccardax presiding.
