Chronicle Herald September 8, 2007 PROSPER, John Francis - 56, Paq'tnkek First Nation, Antigonish Co., passed away on September 6, 2007, peacefully at home. Born in Antigonish, he was the son of Anne (Martin) Prosper and the late Wilfred Prosper. John was a graduate of U.N.B., attaining his Degree in Forestry and Civil Engineering. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and golfing. Besides his mother, Anne, he is survived by daughter, Dawn (Stevens) Tony, Eskasoni First Nation; grandchildren, Damaris, Denae, Ryan, Jr. and Dré; brothers and sisters, Patsy, Freda, Joanne, Doreen, Joan, Kerry, Karen, Clara, Michael, Darlene, Sharon, Ronald, Brian, P.J. and Norma. A private family viewing was held on Friday followed by cremation. A Celebration Feast will be held in John's honor at the Paq'tnkek First Nation Gym on Sunday, September 9, at 2 p.m. All are invited.
