Hello all, I believe that the person listed in the news article is Anne COTE. I have found Nancy to be a common nickname for Anne among the families I've been researching [please note that there should be an accent over the E in the surname COT É]. Anne COTE b. 15 Oct 1847 [dau of Pierre COTE 1812- d.? & Isabelle CROIX b.? - d.?] m. [1] 25 Jan 1869 Edouard/Edward COSTE/DeCOSTE [son of Elie/Elisha COSTE ca1796-bef 1844 & Felicite LAVANDIER/LEVANGIE ? -1892]. I list one child: Bridget Anne who m. Joseph DESLAURIERS/DELOREY. m. [2] 28 Jan 1878 Augustin LAVANDIER/LAVANGIE b.? [son of Luc/Luke LAVANDIER/LAVANGIE ca1795-1876 & Madeleine COSTE b.? -d.?]. I don't have their children. Augustin was the widower of Angelique MATHE with at least one daughter, Elizabeth, at the time of his marriage to Anne COTE. Confirmation or corrections would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Mrs. Lavangie's strength at so advanced an age- some of her neighbours believe she is closer to the century mark than the conservative 94 years shown in the hospital records- has won the admiration of those who know her. Everybody is sorry to learn of the mishap. Mrs. Lavangie has lived in the same house at Frankville for 80 years. She was twice married, the first husband the late Mr. DeCoste, a widower, with a large family, died some 70 years ago. Three sons and a daughter form this union are living, the sons each being over 75 years old, Her husband's first family was also marked by longevity; about ten years ago eight of his children who were Mrs. Lavangie's stepchildren, were living, all past eighty. Her second husband, Agustus Lavangie, died in 1917 at the age of 101. Since the death of her second husband, Mrs. Lavangie and her daughter, Eliza, have occupied the old home at Frankville.
