Hi List, Some time back there was a request for the family of Timothy Hierlihy. Linda asked for the info to be posted if found. At the age of 21, Timothy . . .was married at Christ Church, Middletown (Conn?) May 10, 1755 to Miss Elizabeth Wetmore, presumably the daughter of Captain Caleb Wetmore, a train-band miltitia officer. His son Timothy William was born in July. (P.11) Some of the children were (p. 31-32): Timothy William, b. July 23, 1755 Mary, b. Mar. 11, 1757 Susannah, b. Sep. 13, 1758 Margaret, b. Sep. 11, 1760 Elizabeth, b. Oct. 20, 1762 Cornelius, b. Feb. 16, 1764, drowned Apr. 25, 1775 Honor, b. Nov. 3, 1765 John, b. Sep. 14, 1768 Eunice, b. Sep. 25, 1770 James, b. Feb. 1772 Cornelia, b. Mar. 17, 1776 (p. 144) Capt. Timothy Hierlihy died April 8, 1831, at the age of 76, the sorrow of his numerous friends being softened by the reflection that his death was as the death of the righteous, as his obituary in the Novascotian read. He was survived by Lucy, his wife, who died Aug. 25, 1838 at the age of 70 and by four sons and four daughters, John, George, Edward, James, William C, Sara, Amelia Laura, Cornelia and Frances Sophia. Before you ask what book I am referring to, I will say the paper cover is torn off and I don't know who did the study of the Hierlihy family but the records are extensive. This copy is from the Antigonish Heritage Museum. Marleen Hubley
