    3. Hello Folks, Got my info together as much as possible, am posting this to the whole list as we're all searching for family in Antigonish. Kathleen, I hope you don't mind I realize you e-mailed me privately. My family: Donald (aka Daniel) Cameron born about 1856 in Lochaber, Nova Scotia married Mary Jane McLean born about 1861 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia They were married in Goldenville, Guysborough County the 14th August 1879. Parents of Donald/Daniel Cameron: Father: Duncan Cameron occ: farmer Mother: Mary McMillan occ: farmer Parents of Mary Jane McLean Father: Neil McLean occ: miner Mother: Isabella Stewart occ: miner's wife Donald and Mary Jane were married by a Presbyterian minster: James Quinn This info taken from a Nova Scotian marriage slip and license. Descendants of these persons: Mary Donally Duncan McMillan Cameron born 1881, Oct 20 Wine Harbour, Nova Scotia Elizabeth Florence Cameron born 1883 July 25 (aka Big Auntie)Goldenville, Guysborough,NS Neil McLean Cameron (aka Daniel or Uncle Dan) born 1885 Mar 26 Goldenville, Guys, NS Neil is listed with the First Canadian Expeditionary Forces WWI -went blind from either warwound or eye disease. His sister Elizabeth Florence also went blind at about the age of 20. Irene Cameron (our mystery person) no info other than she married a Reeves and moved to Toronto, Ontario ...possibly had 2 or more children, possibly son named Norman. I have death certificates (copies) for Mary and Elizabeth as they died in Victoria, BC Neil McLean Cameron's date of death is listed on the BC Vital Stats webpage if you do a name search. I have copies of his attestation papers when he signed up for armed forces service in WWI- he listed his occupation as teamster before the war. My great grandmother Mary DDM Cameron married Joseph Henry Mortimer (from Hull, Yorkshire) children: Millicent Mortimer born 1903-01-19 no place mentioned this info in family bible died at 7 months old due to "milk fever" Evelyn May Mortimer born 1905-02-22 Victoria BC Baby boy Mortimer born 1905-02-22 (twin) died at birth Victoria, BC Ada Madeleine Mortimer born 1907 died 1927 (unsure of cause) Sarah Elizabeth (Libby) Mortimer born 1909-12-30 Victoria, BC Helen Mildred Mortimer born 1912-02-12 Victoria BC (aka Babe, Nellie)(my grandmother) Thats it for my Cameron descendants. Would love to find out the date of death for Donald Cameron, and Mary Jane McLean and where they are buried. Will also post info sent to me by Nell Farrell as I think it is pertinent as well, it might create a clearer picture. Here's what she sent me: Neil MacLean is son of Laughlin MacLean and Elizabeth Campbell, emigrated to Nova Scotia 1821. Isabel Stewart is daughter of Alexander Stewart (aka Daniel -my notes) and Margaret MacFarlane, Lochaber MacLeans were from the Keppoch area, Antigonish County Neil and Isabel's family Elizabeth MacLean 1849-1925 married William Cameron, Goldenville, NS Margaret Maclean 1851 married living in Boston Lauchlin Maclean 1854 died in Denver, Colorado Norman MacLean 1855 never married, Leadville, Colorado Jane MacLean born 1861 married D Cameron, Goldenville (these are my folks -Gerrie) John MacLean 1863 Prince Edward Island Addie MacLean 1865 married Mr. Brownlee, Australia Neil Maclean shot as a young boy. Neil and Isabel MacLean are buried in the Sherbrooke Cemetary (possibly Presbyterian cenetary) And thats it..hope this helps someone, and makes a connection. Gerrie in sunny British Columbia
