Marilyn, I came across this article...thought it might be of interest re: Wright "The Rev. Munro purchases his land from John Wright whose name still clings to the river crossing the east end of town. Some reports indicate Wright moved because his little son drowned in the river. But a similar story exists that Wright purchases his property a few hundred yards south of Main Street from John Brierly whose son drowned in Brierly Brook which runs close to the back of his house. Whatever the truth or tales, unverifiable with the passage of time, two early settlers are remembered in the names of two of the principal waterways in the town." [ca.1800]
