Hi Everyone! I just thought you'd be pleased to know that in just one week we have 70 subscribers to our list! Here's a historical piece of Trivia ~~ The early days of Antigonish.... According to legend, In 1796 Zephaniah Williams employed an Indian named Joe Snake to guide him by the shortest route from Williams Point to the Harteshorne Grant at the foot of Brown's Mountain. The two men blazed the trees as they went along; the blaze became a guide to other travelers, eventually a footpath, and then a cart road. Clearings were made along this road, houses built, and today ............ ........we have Main Street. Linda
