Wednesday, July 28, 2004 Elmer Leon RICHARDS A graveside service for the late Elmer Leon RICHARDS, 76, Pleasantville, Lunenburg County, was held July 22 with Reverend Quincy Collins officiating. Mr. RICHARDS died July 18, 2004, in Camp Hill Veterans’ Memorial Building, QEII, Halifax. Born in Pleasantville, he was a son of the late Calder and Gladys (HAUGHAN) RICHARDS. He worked in the fishing industry and retired as chief engineer. He was a Merchant Navy veteran during the Second World War and spent most of his adult life at sea. He is survived by his wife, Carol HUTCHINS; two daughter, Shar (Clarence) HERMAN, Lake Centre; Suzanne, Bricton; three sons, Brian (Theresa), Pleasantville; James (Susan), Branch LaHave; Michael, Bridgewater; five grandchildren, Colin, Tyler, Paul,, Becky, Catlin; step-grandchild, Charlene; three brothers, Clifton (Lillian), Havre Boucher; Ralph (Margaret), Halifax, Eldred (Joan), Pleasantville; two sisters, Vera (Lee) BAKER, Pleasantville; Norma (Gerald) SEABOYER, LaHave; numerous nieces and nephews.
