Halifax Herald November 24, 2004 CHISHOLM, Ronald Joseph - 75, Reno, Nev., died October 30, 2004. Born in Williams Point, Antigonish Co., he was a son of the late John J. and Agnes Chisholm. A miner all his life, he retired to Reno in 1991. He was a full-time community volunteer at St. Vincent's Thrift Shop and Pantry where he served meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas. He also volunteered with the American Cancer Society, driving cancer patients to and from doctor appointments and therapy sessions. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 978, 4th degree and was involved in charitable activities. He is survived by sisters, Mary Ann Pottie, Margaret, Halifax; brothers, John (Toots), Ambrose (Kaye), New Glasgow; sisters-in-laws, Joyce Chisholm, Shirley Chisholm, Williams Point; many nieces and nephews; friends, Colin Redden, Desmond Campbell, Nevada. He was predeceased by sisters, Christie, Rose MacLellan, Cecelia Noonan; brothers, Ray, Jim; brothers-in-law, Dick MacLellan, Joe Pottie, Ray Noonan. A memorial service for the late Ronald Joseph Chisholm will be held 9 a.m., November 27, in St. Ninian's Cathedral, Antigonish, with Father R.B. MacDonald officiating. Burial was November 8, in Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Reno, Nev.
