In my notes I found that I have a Maurice LAVANDIER/LEVANGIE who would be about the right age, but he married 1874 to Celeste COSTE. It appears that his marriage record was recorded twice; once in Jan and once in Feb. I see that one of the witnesses was Patrick WEBB. Here is his two marriage records: Civil marriage record Jan. 19, 1874 at Tracadie; groom: Maurice LAVANDIER; age 25; Bachelor; occupation: Mariner; residence at Har. Boucher, born at Same; parents: Fred'k. & Mary, parents’ occupation: Farmer; bride: Celeste DE COSTE; age 21; Spinster; residence at Little Tracadie, born at [left blank]; Ed. & Labora[?] Coste, parents’ occupation: Farmer; witnesses: Charles DeCoste & Patrick Webb. Same marriage but recorded again. Civil marriage record Feb. 19, 1874 at Tracadie; groom: Maurice LAVANDIER; age 25; Bachelor; occupation: Mariner; residence at Har. Boucher, born at Same; parents: Frederick Levandier & Mary DeCoste, parents’ occupation: Farmer; bride: Celeste DE COSTE; age 21; Spinster; residence at Little Tracadie, born at Same; parents: Ed. & Labine Coste, parents’ occupation: Farmer; [witnesses left blank].
