Chronicle Herald April 14, 2007 MATTIE, Mary Florence - 73, William's Point, Antigonish Co., passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2007, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Pomquet Lake, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Jane (Melanson) Durant. Florence was employed in food services at St. F.X. for over 26 years. She was a member of St. Ninian's Parish CWL. She is survived by children, Margie, Calgary; Terri (Pat Gorman), Halifax; Catherine, Calgary; Bernie (Sheila Poirier), Calgary; Francis, Deep River, Ont.; Sharon (Guy MacGillivary), William's Point; Louie, at home; grandchildren, Todd, Bobby (Joanne), Melissa, Christopher, Jeffrey, Ryan, Donovan, Cassie and Jacob; great-granddaughter, Josie; brother, Francis Durant, Pomquet Lake, and sister, Sister Maria Goretti, Holland. She was predeceased by her husband, Aloysius, and brother, Bernard. Visitation will be held in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish, this evening from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held in St. Ninian's Cathedral on Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Gillies presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association.
