Chronicle Herald April 25, 2007 MacDONALD, Margaret V. - It is with great sadness that we, the family of the late Margaret V. MacDonald, announce her sudden passing in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish, April 23, 2007. Born in Antigonish, October 5, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Neil and Mary Jane (Somers) MacNeil. She was a faithful member of St. Ninian's Cathedral. Margaret graduated as a registered nurse from St. Joseph's Hospital, Glace Bay in the class of '44. She thoroughly enjoyed her nursing career which took her to various hospitals in Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia, working in different aspects of her profession well beyond her retirement. Margaret married Francie "Red Dan" and began their family in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., relocating to Antigonish after the untimely death of her husband. Margaret cherished her family and leaves to mourn her absence, daughter, Jenny; sons, Frank (Erin) and Donald (Linda); grandchildren, Joseph, Daniel, Keara, Calum and Meaghan; sisters, Helen (Angus) Sutherland, Ethel (John) Chisholm, Mabel (Joseph) Grant, Ruth (Robert) MacNeill, Sister Harriet MacNeil C.N.D., Irene (Billy) Armstrong; brother, Connie (Felisa); sister-in-law, Mary C. MacNeil. She was predeceased by husband, Francis; brothers, George, Roy, Jimmie, Jackie; sisters, Leona and Evelyn; aunt, Elizabeth; uncles, Jack and Bert. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Ninian's Cathedral, Antigonish, Rev. Ray Huntley presiding.
