Born in Brierly Brook, Antigonish Co., he was the eldest son of the late Valentine and Margaret (MacDonald) Chisholm. He was retired from Ferguson Industries and for as number of years, repaired radios and televisions in his spare time. Dan spent many enjoyable hours on his CB and listening to his ham radio. He was a member of Stella Maris Parish, Pictou. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Florence (MacNeil) Chisholm; daughters, Jean (Norman) Thompson, New Glasgow; Mary (George) Hamilton, Ottawa; Janet (Peter) Trites, Waterside; Joan (George) Murray, Meadowville; Eileen, Trenton; Barbara (Gary) Fraser, Pictou; sons, Joe (Chris), Fredericton; Bernard (Debbie), Billy, Harold (Brenda); daughter-in-law, Winnie, all of Pictou; son-in-law, Gary Kelly, Lantz; 39 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Mary Jane Smith, Windsor; Rose Liboiron,! Greenfield Park, Que., Mary Alddery, Yellowknife; Christine Hackett Hamilton; brothers, Sylvester (Freda), Shad Bay; Joseph, Antigonish; sister-in-law, Isabelle MacNeil, Pictou and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sons, John, Donnie, Charles; daughters, Rose, Bernadette; brother, Grant and sisters, Isabelle Bethune and Marie Lake. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in the McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral mass will be held 3 p.m. Friday from Stella Maris Church, Pictou, Rev.
