DELOREY - DORAN, Lillian Mae: Monday August 16, 2004, The Halifax Herald Limited: DORAN (Delorey), Lillian Mae - 100, formerly of Tracadie, Antigonish Co. and the United States, died peacefully on August 14, 2004, in Highcrest Nursing Home, Sherbrooke. Born in Tracadie, the third eldest of a family of 12, she was a daughter of the late David Daniel and Katherine (Pettipas) Delorey. At an early age, Lillian moved to Boston where she worked in various levels of the fashion industry with the Jordon Marsh Company as a milliner, designing hats for women such as the late Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy. An astute business woman she ran several businesses upon her return to Truro and later Antigonish. Lillian was known for her generous contributions to charitable organizations. She is survived by sister, Florence (Adrian) Landry, Afton; brothers, Frank, New Glasgow; Raymond, Tracadie; Ottis, Hamilton; sister-in-law, Charlotte Delorey, Tracadie; many nieces and nephews, and long-standing good friend, Kay Chisholm, Antigonish. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Doran in 1974; sister, Esther, and sisters, Violet and Abagail who died in infancy; brothers, Joseph Francis, John Gabriel, Vincent, Leonard and James Eldridge; niece, Alice Delorey; grandniece, Monique (Delorey) Patridge. Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish, today from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. and St. Peter's Place, Tracadie on Tuesday from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. in St. Peter's Church, Tracadie with Rev.
