    2. Halifax Herald August 17, 2004 CHISHOLM, Francis Joseph "Frank" - 76, 41 Xavier Dr., Antigonish, died Sunday, August 15, 2004, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital. Born in Braintree, Mass., he was a son of the late Francis and Mary (Duggan) Chisholm. Frank was a graduate of Morrison High and St. Francis Xavier University in 1950, and received his Master's degree from Boston University in 1971. He taught starting at the Post Road School, Antigonish, then in Alberta from 1951-55, was principal of Canso High from 1955-64, returning to Antigonish where he taught until his retirement in 1987 as Director of Adult Education. Frank was well-known for his involvement in the area softball leagues with Canso athletics, the Antigonish Guysborough Rural League and the Dr. J.H. Gillis School teams. Frank served on the Antigonish Recreation Commission and was actively involved in municipal government. Surviving are his wife, Mary; sons, Terry (Darcy), Antigonish; Ronnie, Fort McMurray, Alta.; Bobby (Cindy), Antigonish; Ba! rry, (Doris), North Grant; Tommy (Ann Marie), Antigonish; Billy (Kim), North Grant; 20 grandchildren; brothers, Maurice (Evangeline) and Harold, North Grant; sisters, Betty (Edwin) Power, Arichat, and Jean MacNeil, Antigonish; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Jean in infancy; father and mother-in-law, John and Margaret Maney (Canso); nephew, Shaun Chisholm; brother-in-law, Bernie MacNeil. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in MacIsaac Funeral Home, Antigonish. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Ninian's Cathedral, Rev. Andrew Boyd presiding.
