Hi, I am looking for a MULLALLY involvement with the Founder of this University? Also would like to find the family of Sister ROSE MULLALLY & SISTER FRANCIS MULLALLY? This involves Canada, Ireland and Boston. Can anyone recommend where is a starting point for finding Catholic lawyers in1800-1899? Also looking for information to contact the Presentation Convent for a WINIFRED MULLALLY? This girl was 11 years old and raised at the convent after her mother died. she was married in 1911 &born 1867. I really could use some help here! God Bless. Kathy from Ontario

As far as I know, there was no 'University of Antigonish'; the school there is St Francis Xavier (School|College|University) - http://www.stfx.ca/ There was a history of the school written about a decade back: For the people: A history of St. Francis Xavier University by James D. Cameron Hardcover - 551 pages (October 3, 2003) Language: English McGill-Queens University Press ; ISBN: 077351385X It's available at amazon.ca; I imagine your library could interlibrary loan it for you. The website for the college itself is http://www.stfx.ca/ The last I knew, James D Cameron was teaching in the history department there. The main communities of women religious in the Antigonish diocese were (and still are) the Sisters of Saint Martha (http://www.themarthas.com/main/main.html) and the Congregation of Notre Dame (http://www.cnd-m.com/English2/HomeMain.htm). The website for the Diocese of Antigonish is (http://www.antigonishdiocese.com/title.htm) Somewhere amongst them, you should be able to come up with something. Good luck!
