    1. [Antigonish] Important notice re: Casket obits
    2. Linda Darling
    3. Hi Folks, Before I send the next batch of obits from The Casket, I would like to present this modest request. I am sending this note separately so those who generally read the obit postings at a later time will see this message first. My request is this -- if you want an obit, please respond to me in a timely fashion. To get a request for an obit 2, 3, or 4 weeks later has me running in circles. It kind of defeats my attempt of trying to move forward and get caught up. (I do not save all these obits on my hard drive, so it means digging the obit out again and rescanning.) I know life is busy these days and everyone is going in ten different directions at once. So, I think I will post the obits and mention a date 5-7 days later that I will scan/send the obits. Hopefully, this will work out for all of us. On a side note, I hope everyone has enjoyed using the new Nova Scotia Historical Vital Statistics website. (I have held back on sending The Casket obits for this very reason!) It's great to have this new resource!! Best, Linda ;-)

    3. Thank you very much, Li nda, for sending the Casket obits. And I believe your request for timeliness is not out of line. Courtesy dictates that you avail yourself of a service offered right away, not wait for an undetermined amount of time before requesting the service. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Darling" <ldarling1@comcast.net> To: "Antigonish List" <CAN-NS-ANTIGONISH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 31, 2007 11:12 PM Subject: [Antigonish] Important notice re: Casket obits > Hi Folks, > > Before I send the next batch of obits from The Casket, I would like > to present this modest request. > I am sending this note separately so those who generally read the > obit postings at a later time will see this > message first. > > My request is this -- if you want an obit, please respond to me in a > timely fashion. 3. Hello Linda; I must applaud you on the great job you are doing with the Obits my goodness it must take up a lot of your time. I am moving forward with my research on Sylvester O'Donoghue I have found a few more church's that he has built and I ran Into a gal whose ancestors had helped Sylvester working on the Cathedral, we visited Antigonish last Fall and found that Sylvester had built the Catholic Church St. Peters in Port Hood it is a lovely little church. Would you be so kind as to send me the new website for Antigonish I did find out from Department of Railways and Canals - Ottawa That Sylvester O'Donoghue did work on St. Peters Canal. Again I would like to thank you for all your help in the past Thanks Again, and Happy Easter Margaret Margaret Anne (O'Donoghue) Enright Burlington, Ontario -----Original Message----- From: can-ns-antigonish-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:can-ns-antigonish-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Ray De Roche Sent: Sunday, April 01, 2007 2:26 PM To: can-ns-antigonish@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [Antigonish] Important notice re: Casket obits Thank you very much, Li nda, for sending the Casket obits.
