Eventually I believe I have found their line. I will give the lineage and maybe someone will recognize the names and may be able to help prove it. I only had the Massachusetts vitals to go by. PETER J. PETITPAS (on his marr. rec. it was Joseph Peter) m. 10-12-1938, MARY L. GRIFFIN d/o Patrick J. & Mildred E. (Morrison)Griffin. Both were born in Cambridge. They had 4 children. When his fist son Joseph Paul was born that is when the name seems to reverse. His Parents were SAMUEL P. PETITPAS m. ANNIE TURBIDE on their childrens births they put Canada as their birthplace. They had 11 children. Samuel's brother it appears was FRANCOIS PETITPAS m. OLIVE LAPIERRE They lived close to each other. Francois & Olive had 6 children This is what I believe is the line they come from. FIRMIN PETITPAS m. MELANIE ARSENEAU I only have the 2 sons above FRANCOIS PETITPAS m. ANNE BOUDREAU 8 children GUILLAUME PETITPAS m. CATHERINE ANGELIQUE SCEAU 13 children BARTHELEMY m. MADELIENE COSTE 11 children CLAUDE PETITPAS Jr.(Capt.) m. MARIE THERESE CLAUDE PETITPAS m. CATHERINE BUGARET When asking for info from on of the sons (P.J./J.P would not answer) he claims to be from Louis Benjamin but he was not ever sure who is own grandfather was. He claims to have a piece of paper that mentions citizenship. I believe I have a copy (though not very good) that only mentions a safe passage from Chezzetcook to Boston for Louis Benjamin. So a mystery still remains, if I am right or not. All comments and info greatly appreciated. Kay Petitpas
