    3. Hi Sue, Based on your e-mail address, I'm guessing you live in New York City or thereabouts. I checked OCLC, and that book is available in NY City at: New York Historical Society Archives; New York Public Library Research Library; Columbia University Library Since the book was published in 1934, it may be considered rare and probably wouldn't be ILL'd, but you could try anyway. Also, the LDS Family History Library in Salt Lake City has a copy, and you could go to your local LDS branch library and request that they microfilm the book. You could then rent the microfilm through that branch library for a few bucks. The author was born in 1857 and it's never been republished as far as I can tell, so there shouldn't be any copyright problems. Hope this helps a bit. Whidden?? There's a used bookstore in Halifax called John W Doull (1684 Barrington St, Halifax NS B3J 2A2; 902/429-1652; http://doullbooks.com/). They know their market (ie no bargains to be had) but they do get such books through from time to time. - I haven't bought from them over the 'Net - I have no connection with them other than as a customer There are a couple of used book stores in Antigonish, too, but as far as I know, they don't do business over the 'Net; maybe one of our Antigonish-based listers could post contact information for them? Some of our listers must have copies of Whidden - if there's something specific you want, you might post a request for a lookup. You might check with the InterLibrary Loan (ILL) librarian at your local public library, too. They may be able to get it for you, or if you know a specific citation you want, can order copies of a specific page or two.
