I have two books very useful that I know them well and enjoy searching in them. They are called " A dictionary of Scottish Emigrants to Canada before Confederation" By Donald Whyte. In this very common book in Canadian Librarys I found a possible match for CAMERON on the HECTOR VOL1 PG 37#1061 CAMERON CHRISTIANA. fromLochbroom,ROC d/o of ALEXANDER To Pictou, NS, on the "HECTOR" left the port in Lochbroom, Arrived 17 Sept 1773 married ALEXANDER MCKAY. #1063 CAMERON, DONALD.From INV To pictou, NS, on the HECTOR,Port of departure Lochbroom arrived 1773. discharged soldier, 78th Regt, and pioneer settler East River where he was drowned, married MARY MCDONALD CHILDREN: JOHN, HUGH MARY(the family being roman catholic moved to Antigonish Co. this reference of information is from"History of Pictou Co. by Rev George Patterson.
