Chronicle Herald August 23, 2007 MURPHY, Catherine "Kay" - 95, Heatherton, Antigonish Co., passed away on August 21, 2007, at home. Born in New France, she was a daughter of the late George and Lena (Bonvie) Bowie. She is survived by sons, George, Goshen; Clifford (Ann Marie), Brampton, Ont.; Winston (Sherry), Thorburn; daughters, Theresa Vegelahn, Heatherton; Eileen (Larry) MacIntyre, Brampton, Ont.; sisters, Susie MacDonald, James River; Lilly McCuish, Bridgeville; Margaret Barnes, Ottawa; brother, Wilfred (Margaret) Bowie, Antigonish; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred; son, Sonny; a son in infancy; daughters, Melinda and Jean; brothers, Joe, George, Simon, Russell, and Martin; sisters, Evelyn, Rita, and Theresa. Visitation from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton, with Rev. Daniel MacDonald presiding. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
