Chronicle Herald August 25, 2007 BROPHY (Armstrong), Helen Claire M. - 70, South Side Harbour, Antigonish Co., passed away August 23, 2007, surrounded by her loving family and friends in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Besides her many friends, Helen leaves behind her loving husband, Huntly; sons, Billy (Andrea), Tim (Ronata), Duncan (Vonda), all of South Side Harbour; Jeff, Vancouver; daughter, Florence, Dartmouth; sister, Betty, Halifax; brothers, Don (Mary), Halifax; Kevin (Jackie), North Sydney; Laughie (Catherine), Port Hawkesbury; Bill (Irene), Ontario; nine grandchildren. Born in Antigonish on May 10, 1937, Helen was the daughter of the late Dan and Annie (Chisholm) Armstrong of Heatherton, Antigonish Co. Helen was predeceased by daughter, Deborah; sisters, Rita and Anne, and infant granddaughter, Marya. Helen worked for CIBC and Co-op Insurance until her retirement. She was a long-time volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society and Palliative Care. She enjoyed quilting, bowling, boating, her grandkids, and organizing many family gatherings. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, and 12-2 p.m. Sunday in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Mass of Christian Burial Sunday at 3 p.m. in Ste. Croix Church, Pomquet, Rev. P.J. Baccardax presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only.
