Halifax Herald February 3, 2005 MacDONALD, Charles "Gerry" - 66, R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish, formerly of St. Joseph's, Antigonish Co., passed away February 1, 2005, in the nursing home. Born in St. Joseph's, he was a son of the late Harry and Mary (MacPherson) MacDonald. Gerry was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He was a bricklayer by trade and worked with D.J. Floyd and J.A. Construction companies. He later worked with the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission in Antigonish until his retirement due to illness. He is survived by his wife, Greta (MacNeil); son, Gerard, St. Joseph's; brothers, Joseph and Bobby, Antigonish; sister, Carmel Richard, Toronto; nieces, Donna Liggett, Barrie, Ont.; Carmel Anne Warburton, Ajax, Ont.; nephew, Byron MacDonald, Toronto; special sister-in-law, Anna MacDonald, North Grant. He was predeceased by brother, John Allan; sister, Katherine Rita and brother-in-law, Donald Richard. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Joseph's with Rev. George Thottappilly and Rev. R.B.
