Chronicle Herald October 12, 2007 CHISHOLM, Catherine Janet "Jennie" - 96, R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish, passed away on October 11, 2007, in the nursing home. Born in South Side Harbour, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (MacDonald) Bowie. She is survived by her sister, Agnes MacDonald, Antigonish; sister-in-law, Veronica Bowie, West River, and many nieces and nephews. Jennie is also survived by many children she mothered through foster care. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles; brother, John D., and foster daughter, Babes Sampson. Jennie loved to welcome family and friends of all ages to her home. Her pastimes included volunteering, growing flowers, and playing bingo and cards. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. Ninian's Cathedral, Antigonish, with Rev. Tom MacNeil presiding, assisted by Rev. Hugh D. MacDonald.
