    3. Chronicle Herald October 5, 2007 MacFARLANE, Ellen "Nora" - 92, William's Point, Antigonish Co. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Nora, on October 3, 2007, in R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish. Nora left us as she lived, peacefully and surrounded by those who loved her. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Walter William and Emma (Stanbury) Dyer. Nora's life was dedicated to her family. She is survived by her children, Joe (Anita), Doug (Carmie), Riverview, N.B.; Lillian (Mike) Power, Kenny (Bernadette), Donnie (Brenda), Mary Lou (Kevin) Grant, all of William's Point; Carol (Raymond) DeCoste, Pomquet; Dorothy Benoit, Plymouth; 26 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Frances Dyer, Dartmouth; Josephine "Tootsie" Gilfoy, Antigonish, and Kitty MacFarlane, William's Point. She was predeceased by her husband, Dougald; brother, William; sister, Myrtle, and son-in-law, Leonard Benoit. Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish, today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held in St. Ninian's Cathedral on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Tom MacNeil presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home Foundation, the Antigonish and Area Homemakers or charity of choice.
