Halifax Herald September 23, 2004 TAYLOR, Harriet "Marie" - 94, Lochaber, Antigonish Co., passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 21, 2004, in The Windsor Elms. Born in Lochaber, she was the youngest child of the late William and Rebecca (Nichols) Archibald. She is survived by daughters, Bette Jodrey, Greenwich; Donna (James) Gunn, Lacombe, Alta.; grandchildren, Lesley, Joanna, Darrell, and Leah; ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry; daughter, Sandra-Lee in infancy; son-in-law, Carroll Jodrey; brothers, Ronald and Robert Archibald, Morten, Mansfield, Angus and Clarence MacKinnon; sisters, Christine MacKinnon and Maude MacDonald. Marie was an avid gardener and enjoyed quilting and crochet. She had a great love of music and was a church choir member for 75 years. Marie was a life member of the UCW and Nova Scotia Women's Institute, where she held numerous positions over the years. More recently, she was a member of the Silver Lakers Seniors of Lochaber. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Lochaber Chalmer's United Church on Sunday, September 26, at 3 p.m., Rev. Keith Smith officiating.
