Halifax Herald September 13, 2004 KINNEY, Duncan Robert - 81, Linwood, Antigonish Co., died September 10, 2004, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital. Born in Linwood, he was a son of the late William Angus and Martha (Flavin) Kinney. Duncan was a carpenter by trade. He also did some farming and fishing, and worked with the Department of Transportation and on the freight boats. He is survived by sisters, Alice Fiander and Cecilia Power, Linwood; children, Charles (Veronica), Linwood; Jeanette (Mike) Green, Hamilton, Ont.; Donald (Ines), St. Petersburg, Fla.; Brian (Debbie), Vineland, Ont.; Ralph (Faye), Bailey's Brook; Paul (Irene), Hamilton, Ont.; Marvin (Yvette), Calgary, Alta.; Ann (J.D.) MacIsaac, Giant's Lake; 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; long-time companion, Greta Pratt; good friend, Richard Oickle. He will also be missed by his good pal, Shep. He was predeceased by brothers, Charlie, John, James and six siblings in infancy. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be in St. Peter's Place, Tracadie, today from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Memorial mass will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, Tracadie, with Rev. John Barry officiating.
