Hi Lloyd, Arthur Nicholas PETITPAS and Mary Victoire BENOIT is exactly who I thought this family might be. I recently found Mary Victoire's birth record online at <novascotiagenealogy.com>. She is the daughter of Simon BENOIT and Susanne DADEAU. Arthur Nicholas died in Dedham, MA in Oct of 1905. Then I find the family in Tracadie in 1911: 1911 / Nova Scotia / Antigonish / 17 Tracadie / page 4 13 31 Petipas Mary F Head W Nov 1870 40 14 31 Petipas Julia F Daughter S Jul 1890 20 15 31 Petipas Walter M Son S Nov 1891 19 16 31 Petipas Mary F Daughter S Aug 1892 18 17 31 Petipas Margaret F Daughter S Jan 1895 15 18 31 Petipas Wilfred M Son S Nov 1897 13 19 31 Petipas Charlott F Daughter S Feb 1899 12 20 31 Petipas Elizabeth F Daughter S Jun 1901 9 21 31 Petipas Marion F Daughter S Dec 1904 6 22 31 Petipas Henry M Son S Jan 1906 5 Which means son Henry was born after his dad's death? I have no Peter PETITPAS but I do have a Arthur Nicholas PETITPAS married to a Mary Victoria BENOIT. I only have two children for the couple: > Arthur Wilfred b. Tracadie 15 Nov 1897; and > Charlotte Ellen b. Tracadie 28 Feb 1899 The first ones must have been born in the "States" ? Arthur Nicholas's parents were Michel PETITPAS and Marguerite DESLAURIERS. There are no parents for Mary Victoria BENOIT. Arthur Nicholas was "born c1865; d. 1905" Regards, Lloyd ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mary" <mtachaplain@verizon.net> To: <CAN-NS-ANTIGONISH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, April 30, 2007 9:07 AM Subject: [Antigonish] 1901 census Petipas > Good morning all, > I think I finally found my husband's great grandparents living in > Tracadie.
