Chronicle Herald July 3, 2007 CAMPBELL, Catherine Ann - 64, Munroe Avenue Extension, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Roderick and Ida (Walsh) Campbell. She was a long-time breeder of Newfoundland and Pug Dogs and Boston Terriers. She was a life member of the Canadian Kennel Club. She is survived by her long-time companion, Bill Oakes; sister, Mary (Jim) Smith, Wellington; brothers, Roderick (Theresa Ann), East Erinville, Guysborough Co.; Blaise (Mary Lynn), Green Hill; five nephews and extended family, David Oakes, Westville; Glenn Oakes, New Glasgow; Heidi Oakes, Bouctouche, N.B. Her body has been donated to medical science at Dalhousie University. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday in R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, with Father Charles Cameron officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
