Chronicle Herald July 4, 2007 CAMPBELL, Anna Clementine - Formerly of Highland Drive and Court Street, Antigonish, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, in Green Meadows Seniors' Community, North Grant. Mom was born in Westville, a daughter of the late Michael and Katherine (MacDougall) MacNeil. She graduated from Mount Saint Bernard Secretarial School and worked at Trenton Steel in New Glasgow. In 1942 she married Michael Cecil Campbell in Westville and with the birth of her three daughters over the years, embarked on her career as mother. In 1948, they moved to Antigonish, where she helped dad establish his business. Mom was a member of Saint Ninian's Parish; past president of Saint Martha's Hospital Women's Auxiliary and a proud 50 year member of the Catholic Women's League. She was a lady whose faith, integrity and perseverance defined her life. She is survived by her daughters, Ann (Lyle) Dunsmore, Calgary; Kathryn (Ronald) Campbell, Halifax; Mary Clare (James) Coleman, Fairmont Hot Springs; and her grandchildren, Chanelle MacIsaac, Kielly (Michael) Christie, and Devlin Dunsmore. We all have a host of memories to cherish and agree that she made the best "candy" pie ever. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael; infant son, Joseph Alexander; sister, Katherine "Girlie" MacDonald and brothers, Alexander and Malcolm. The family would like to thank Dr. John Chiasson for his care over the years; Anne Chisholm for her thoughtfulness; Gerry Taylor and Annie Mae Davidson for their kindness and the Green Meadows staff for their expertise and compassion.
